Life authentic – day one chemo

This morning I went to the Cancer Center in Bozeman to be with Katie and Tom. It was life authentic – day one chemo of Katie’s life saving therapy.  It was an honor to be with them and take a few pictures, but more importantly to spend some time in personal support of Katie and Tom, just simply as human beings, beings with souls.  We talked family, we shared ‘story’ about our lives, beginnings, meetings and children.  It was a very moving experience for me.  I came home and sort of let go of my have to do’s.  I needed to deal with some of all of this.  I am still processing.  My immediate come away reflection is this… I need to live life as if every single day may be my last, and live according to my heart.

Katie requested and desired to have all of these moment recorded for her children and for other’s to see and share… as an inspiration toward living a Life Authentic.

Look deep into these images. You might see something of yourself.

Was with my daughter as she went through this journey. And it is a journey. I will pray for strength for Katie and Tom. God will not fail. To watch your children go through this is devastating to say the least, which is nothing compared to what the patient goes through. When you can do nothing for your child but be there is one of the hardest things a mother will do. I pray for Tom to have strength to go through this with Katie….and Katie to have strength to endure every chemo she needs. And to come out cancer free. I pray for Katies parents to have strength as she goes through this.
