Julia and Jeremiah

The strikingly beautiful and sweet… Julia Cory married Jeremiah Slovarp a couple weeks back and I got to shoot second camera for my daughter Jennie Lynn. I know it sounds funny, but after ‘driving the bus’ at hundreds of weddings over the years, shooting second camera with Jennie Lynn is like a creative play day for me. And to be shooting for a good friend Jeremiah and his bride, I was delighted!

It was an extremely musical event at Chico Hot Springs with the honorable Erik Funk conducting a symphony like ceremony. COOL!

Here are a few of my favorites that I snagged during the get ready and outdoor scenic portraits.

Winter wedding in Yellowstone

Meet Jonny and Jessi. Yesterday they were married at the Mammoth Chapel. It was an intimate and moving winter wedding in Yellowstone. And to make it even more sweet… Jonny and Jessi are soon to be joined by baby girl Armstrong!

Jonny has a unique profession. He photographs wild animals by setting ‘photo traps’ to capture images of our wild and domestic critters. You can see more of his amazing imagery at Jonny Armstrong Photography. But first take a look at these wonderful images of their wedding. I even set a ‘photo trap’ myself and this adventurous couple played along! I was honored that they sought me out to capture their wedding day in Yellowstone National Park.

Holland Lake Lodge revisted

Holland Lake Lodge revisited. Late in the summer I traveled to Holland Lake Lodge to meet up with a couple that I photographed for in 2007 at that very location. Now Kristin and Evan are now joined by their wonderfully talented daughter Helen. Helen and I were on the same page from the beginning. We rolled through an hour and a half of fun times… me shooting away and hanging with this young girl, not so unlike my own two articulate and intelligent daughters (now women).
This was one of the unforeseen and greatly appreciated gifts of my career. Oh, and.. It ain’t over yet!! I still have lots that I have to do. However, this was stellar. Enjoy!

Montana Fall Wedding

A very special occasion

Chico Hot Springs is nestled up against the most beautiful mountains in the northern Rockies. In the fall it is a magic place. The weather can be cooler, but usually the word is PERFECT!

On the 19th of September Jessica and James married in Paradise Valley at Chico. They are not foreigners in these mountains. Jess fights forest fires for a living and James works in Yellowstone National Park keeping the walkways and trails safe and open for your adventures. It was a terrific day with a slight haze of smoke at sunset which made everything golden.

“Each moment unique unto itself” I said that. Here are a collection of our images of this beautiful wedding day.

A credit to my creative daughter Jennie Lynn: 4 or 5 of these images are her captures. Her adept mind and playful spirit finds the most fantastic moments in life. We get busy during the summer, often running off in different directions, but when we get to shoot together… I love it.

Le Petit Chateau in August

Le Petit Chateau in August was warm and green, as a garden wedding should be. Samantha and Logan exchanged vows with solid support from their family and friends under the shade of the tall green trees that tower over this beautiful property. Enjoy my images and those of my BEST second shooter Jennie Lynn.

Woodlands wedding in Bozeman

Never forget the precious moments of your wedding day. This year I am adding a high quality slideshow as an à la carte item. These are high quality mov files that are much superior to DVD slideshows. The file is easily convertible to PC or playable on your Mac.

I love the impact that the stills have when you add a little action with some fitting music. Check out this warm sunny day at The Woodlands in Cottonwood Canyon. Such a special day for Anna and Chris that they will never forget. Enjoy the view!
