What a remarkable day at the Hyalite Reservoir. In true Montana summer afternoon fashion, the sky built up and cut loose with a good soaking. The gathering of family and friends scrambled for cover in cars and a fold up canopy. People got a little wet but their spirits were not dampened. A number of the families were from out of town and some key players got a little lost causing some delay. However, Katy was completely composed and radiant. It gave me the luxury of doing some story telling with my photos. The sky gave me the most beautiful light for all sorts of delicious imagery.
Katy and Blair, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph this outstandingly beautiful day! Jennie Lynn and I had a great time… and now enjoy a selection of the many joyous images.
Then the rain came!
And people took cover where they could find it. This was the wedding party canopy.
The little men compared scars, bug bites, etc.
The flower girl enjoyed the breeze in her pretty dress.
The radiant bride.
Their son Blaise had a place front and center, playing a most important role in the wedding.
When the time was right he announced “and now, you may kiss the bride!”
Then after fulfilling his duties faithfully, he took off!
The dogs watched carefully for an opportunity to snag a bite!
And true to form, we had a splendid sunset as we drove to Bozeman for some fun.
Thanks to my talented daughter Jennie Lynn for her excellent shooting.
