Erica and Jake Rinker

Wedding album of their nationally televised story.

Ok, so... here it is: the wedding album of the young med students/newly weds that stopped on the way to their reception to assist an injured young girl. The story hit ABC and CBS early news shows a few weeks back, as well as many local and national newspapers.

So I dedicate this album to this fine couple, as well as all of the numberless unsung hero's out there that take time to help others, in big ways and small.

Erica and Jake's Wedding Album

But wait... that's not all!
Those of us in the business of weddings would recognize the telling importance of the image below. Let me explain. It seems every church has a person, usually a woman, that is put in charge to see that all rules are known and obeyed. Often it is a difficult position to be put in. Trying to tell an entire congregation that flash photography is not allowed when dozens of guests have cameras in hand. Or worse yet, telling the likes of me that I can't do the job that my client has paid me very well to do.

So this photo is dedicated to the dear Church Lady. I love you. I love what you do. I understand and I am really sorry that I always avoid you on the wedding day.

A dramatically beautiful wedding day.

moral of the story is: never shrink from adversity

Ok, so... here's one single photo that tells you how wonderfully bold and lively Alisia and Patrick's wedding was last Sunday in Anaconda, Montana. I've got loads more but time is short at the moment. Look for more as time allows.

By the way, I loved their wedding. It reminded me to never shrink from adversity, always look for the beauty in every moment.

Cheers to my creative friends, Alisia and Patrick

Montana weddings

Ocean, Mountains and Plains

Well, I just couldn't wait any longer to blog. Life has been a blur of photos and fun, from the Bahamas to the beautiful mountains and plains of our gorgeous Big Sky Country. Here's a very quick glimpse of three weddings. This is just a start, I have 5 or 6 more weddings to share as soon as I can find the time.

Enjoy the photos from Patrick and Susan, Jen and Scott and the last one was from yesterday at the Bohart Ranch, Anne and Brian.

whirrrrrrrr phtttttt. I'm gone again.

And just a note to folks that are shopping for next year: If you like what I do and you'd like for me to do this for you... it's a good idea to book your photographer a year in advance. Saturdays in June, July, August and September fill up quickly.

Jen and Scott, blue sky, white sand... Island style.

Sunday wedding in the Bahamas

Ok, so... here's a report from Freeport in the Grand Bahama.

Temperature: hot.
Sky: very blue.
Sandy beach: very white!!!

It glorious here and today Heather and I followed Jen and Scott into Lucaya to get all their papers in order for there wedding on Sunday. We are having such a great time hanging out with this couple and all their family and friends. Excitement is building for their Sunday afternoon wedding on the beach here at the Wyndham Fortuna Beach Resort.

And now some photos. Enjoy the heat!

We were working hard! Here's Heather having a fresh Pina colada at 10:30 in the morning. Oh yeah!

The bride and groom were are on cloud nine. I caught them floating along the beach in mid air!

Then a kiss brought them gently down upon the sand.

Many thanks to Jen and Scott for bringing us to this wonderful place. I can't wait until the wedding.

Esther and Eric

Marry in Paradise Valley, Montana

Esther and Eric married last Sunday and it was a glorious day in the spectacular Paradise Valley. But first...on Friday... we ran around Livingston and had a blast making some crazy fun photos. Esther was handed an antique dress from her Mother and Eric dressed in the style of a similar era. We hailed down Brad Bunker and grabbed his cool bike for a few images. We basically owned the streets of Livingston. Folks were honking and well wishers shouted as they drove by!

In the end the brave couple donned something less formal and jumped headlong into a very brisk Yellowstone river.
