Merry Christmas from my house to yours.
And... Good morning 2008!!!
It's been "at home" time at the Stanley family household here in Montana. Both my daughters are back from the west coast and I've been taking some much needed time off enjoying their presence. I just wanted to post a little Christmas note to all of you that visit, those of you that I've had the pleasure of photographing for, and those whose paths I will cross in the future... camera in hand and looking up at the sky for some miracle to fall from the heavens! Yep, that would be me.
Here are a few fun photos of the clan. The series of dog images are of my beautiful Labrador Retreiver Yeshe (the fire dog) that curiously stuck her nose into the sack containing her Christmas gift, and then the uncertainty that followed when this stuffed pheasant cackled at her! They made up later.
Tomorrow I have the pleasure of shooting for Ashley and Jason in Helena and I'm so excited. I haven't shot a wedding since October and I'm chomping at the bit. I can't wait to see what sort of beautiful images I find. Next week I'll have some new wedding moments to share.
Until then, be considerate to others because they are not unlike yourself, and... here's to a great New Year with a prayer for peace and compassionate coexistence around the world.
Cheers, Larry
The next photographer in my blood line. To date there have been seven, and four of us are working professionally, Lauren will make seven! You go Lauren!

Yeshe, diving deep for the hidden treasure within the sack!

Surprised at what she found.

Then she takes refuge from the cackling bird... under the table.

Sleeping with the enemy... this will ruin her for bird hunting!

That's my dog.

Merry Christmas and a happy, abundant New Year from my household to yours.
