My albums are handcrafted by

Leather Craftsmen

A lot of my clients plan their Montana wedding from out of state, choosing venues, finding ideas and yes, researching and hiring their photographer via the internet. With that in mind, I've put together a brief presentation to give a visual description of these fine albums built by Leather Craftsmen. So, click below and let me thumb through a few pages of one of my recent clients album. You won't be able to touch the leather but you'll get the idea. These are excellent hand crafted book bound albums, with flush mount photographic pages, and sprayed with lacquer for protection from moisture and UV. A beautiful keepsake.

Remarkable images and... BOOKS.

A cold morning on the Yellowstone

Why I love Montana.

The mercury was just over 5 degrees when I set out to walk my trusted companion Yeshe, commonly known as the Fire Dog because of her very energetic nature. As the sun peaked over the mountains, steam lifted up from the river bank and created quite a show. This has nothing to do with weddings. Just a fun way to share some of my views of our little town on the Yellowstone River. Enjoy!

Beautiful Snowy Day at Chico Resort

Katie and Robert's October 6th wedding.

So, it's been a little while since I've blogged. Coming out of a long season of wonderful Montana weddings requires a little catch up time. And catching up is what I've been doing along with some personal and family time.

Well this one is worth waiting for. Katie and Robert planned an outdoor wedding in the Field of Dreams at Chico Hot Springs Resort. The weather changed to snow, but being the outdoorsy types that they are (Robert and his buddies are professional fishing guides ), they kept with their plans. Along with the blanket of snow on the field were warm blankets covering folks that wouldn't have missed this day for anything. It was a remarkable wedding day!

And to top the whole day off, they had one of the best bands I've seen all year. This group was a total gas. I'm giving them the title of the "Most Danced to Bands" of my 2007 wedding season. The Clumsy Lovers.

Happy trails to Katie and Robert.

Recording the essence of life.

Nicole and Dan's Chico Hot Springs Resort wedding.

Greetings friends, family, brides, grooms, parents, blogographers and photos lovers. I just finished the first draft wedding album of Nicole and Dan. Livingston is a hometown kind of place. Populations - around 6,000 depending on whether or not you count the outlying rural areas within 50 miles of city center. Then it might be 7,000!!!

Years ago I met Jane and the Welch family. Jane Welch, Nicole's mother, is a friend of my sister in law. You get the picture. It's a small town!. When Heather and I were young parents and just getting started, we rented a small pull-along trailer from Jane for our family vacations on the lakes of northwestern Montana. Nicole was a highschooler at the time. I did some fun photos with her for her use and my "up start" stock photography submissions.

Time has flown by and now my daughters are off to college and exploring their own futures while Nicole is now a newlywed. Phew! ... how life passes.

Nicki's wedding was dramatic, colorful, passionate, tearful and above all... totally a living testiment to the families of Nicole and Dan. So here's to friends without whom we would be desolate wanderers. Here's to family that will love you regardless of your choices in life. Here's to children that will grow to outshine your own star, and most of all... Here's to love that brings people together from every walk of life and finds there, in the midst of that union, a common inseparable bond.

I present the touching wedding photos of Nicole and Dan.

Keep loving and living. Next week I will have the Hoepp wedding ready to share. I bet you thought I was done... not hardly!

Just in from New York: my next wedding couple were reunited this week after the groom returned from deployment in Iraq. On December 28th, they will be marriend in Helena. It should be a warm and heartfelt Winter wedding. I'm personally excited about about Christmas time weddings because Heather and I were marriend on December 25th.

bye bye
