Under Electric Peak

Corwin Springs, Montana Wedding

Helen and Orion were married last Sunday at the Church Universal and Triumphant in Corwin Springs. Families and friends gathered for this devotional afternoon wedding at the Church, and we just eeked out the last little bit of sunshine for some beautiful images at the base of Emigrant Peak.

This will be a very unique and different album. Check back at the end of next week to view the album.

Tomorrow I'm joining Mikal and Armand for their wedding at the Rockin TJ Ranch in Bozeman. It is planned to be an outdoor wedding and I'm hoping for a lite cloud cover to take the edge off of the heat. Today is 95 in Livingston... and that's a bit hot for us Montanas. I love it as long as there is a cold river around.

Happy trails!

A dramatically beautiful day along the Missouri

Kimberly and Tanner wed in Great Falls

Ladies and gentleman, here it is. A few days later than expected but this one is worth waiting for. I can't expound at this point because I'm out the door for a Sunday wedding today.

I give you...
The Wedding album of Kimberly and Tanner!

Rainbow Ranch

Tops on "Larry's List" for a Montana wedding!

I was just up at the Rainbow Ranch today making some images of their new addition and I thought I'd share a few. This place is by far, has always been one of the finest placest to stay in Big Sky... and it just got better. Patrick Hurd, the proprietor of The Rainbow Ranch has topped the list again with a huge renovation which includes an infinity hot tub and new Pondside Rooms and Suites. So, if you're looking for a fine place to host your wedding, or just a magical retreat when all the summer events are over... the Rainbow is the place. The Rainbow is my place of choice to sneak away to in October or November and enjoy the Gallatin River, award winning cuisine and the most outrageous wine cellar in this neck of the woods, if you will.

Check this out! And have a cookie on the way out.

Alongside the Missouri River

Kimberly and Tanner wed in Great Falls

Just got back from a dramatic wedding in Great Falls this weekend. Lauren and I were at it again and this time we just missed shooting outside in a hail storm.

After spending about 45 minutes shooting on the banks of the Missouri river on the lush greens of Great Falls Country Club, we drove to the church for more photos. The skies darkened and the impending storm brewed up 15 minutes of hail bringing a clattering roar inside the church where photography continued. Faithfully, folks arrived on time and the sun broke through clouds during the ceremony to provide for the most beautiful light inside the church that you could ever imagine.

This is going to make for a dramatic album. I can't wait to get to work on it! Many thanks to Jim and Lana for their gracious hospitality. You went over and above the call of duty to make everything work out perfectly and it is greatly appreciated. And again, thanks to my trusty assoicate and second camera Lauren Brown. The "footsies" shot is Lauren's. This is why I'm such a fan of Lauren's. She always gets these rock'n shots to add to the album. It should be on line by Friday if I'm able to keep up with the pace of all these beautiful weddings.

And... no, Kimberly is not a professional model that I hired, but she certainly could be. Tanner, you're a lucky guy.

A wedding to smile with!

Tori and Ben's Album

These images tell the whole story. From tears of joy to hearty laughter, these families had it all goin' on. Tori and Ben... whereever you are, this album was two days in the making and even I'm amazed at the shots we got, I had a great time putting it together and I hope you love it!

Thanks again to my Fine Associate Lauren Brown for her exceptional second camera work.

My Graduate

Lauren Brooke Stanley - the class of 2007

Well, as you can see this has nothing to do with weddings... or at least not yet! But I couldn't resist sharing a little of the home front with my friends and family that follow my blog.

My youngest daughter Lauren Brooke graduated highschool and I just got some photos from a friend. The first image is a swirl of celebration right after the ceremony. That's me juggling my camera while spinning my daughter - ha ha.

And the next photo is Lauren at work at the State Soccer championship in Butte. She and her friends from Belegrade swept the tourney for Gold! In August Lauren is off to the University of Puget Sound to begin her college studies and, of course play soccer. Way to go Brooko!!!

Wedding alongside the Gallatin River

Tori and Ben June 9th

Ok, so here's a glimse of the tree house and a few images from Tori and Ben's wedding at the Gallatin River Hideaway. Bozeman had rain showers through out the week, but on Saturday the weather was absolutely perfect for Tori and Ben's wedding. Everything was so lush and green. I should have the first draft album ready by the end of the week. Enjoy!

Montana summer weddings...

have got me on the run!

Well it's not exactly summer yet with regard to the temperature, but it sure is beautiful and green this June. As you can see by my blog posts, I'm on the run every weekend and it's looking like that until October. I have a few Saturdays still open but not many. The funny thing is, I just booked 07/07/07 two weeks ago and I thought for sure that day would have booked last year. I just never know, it's different each year.

This week I'm off to Bozeman for the wedding of Tori and Ben at the Gallatin River Hideaway. This place has this really cool tree house... really... a full on Tree House where the Bride will prepare for the wedding. The couple will spend their wedding night, in the trees above a branch of the Gallatin River. Lauren Brown will join me for this one as second camera and that always ads to the fun!

Later, Larry

Thanks to my fine assistant Carmen Daye for the image of me "on the run".

June Wedding in Fromberg Montana

"Birds of a feather" me thinks.

See the album!
Kristi and David's June 2nd wedding.

It seems that the hills of Tennessee have something in common with the mountains of Montana. Or, at least in the good hearts and souls of a beautiful Montana girl and a fine Tennessee gentleman there is a common theme that brings folks together from all walks of life... love!

I traveled east again last week to the small town of Fromberg, Montana where the Foos family joined with the Zollinger family for the marriage of their daughter and son. It was a sunny afternoon, which we enjoyed in the hills of Kristi's grandparents homestead and ranch. After the ceremony the couple cut the cake and we departed in Brian's pick up truck (Kristi's brother) for the hills overlooking this beautiful mountain valley. Busting through huge slogs of mud and water, drifting a bit sideways at times, the ride up the hill was a blast. Thanks Brian!

Kristi and Dave, I hope you're enjoying the warm sunny days on the beach in Mexico.

Best, Larry

Oh by the way, I just wanted to say that the weddings this year have been so unique, and I have sooooo enjoyed the people that I have been blessed to work for. I can't wait to see what this Saturday brings. I'll let you know.
