Photographer's pick.

I added to Larry's Favorites a couple weeks ago. Check it out below.

Merry Christmas from Montana Wedding Photographer.com!

As the finished albums of my 2006 weddings are starting to come back from the binder it causes me to contemplate the images that I've gathered. The ones that were chosen and the ones that were left unchosen or unoticed. So, I thought it might be fun to start a little project with my spare time!! hah!

This is going to be a collection of my favorite images. Yep, the ones that I loved. I think these images and the ones that are to be added in the weeks ahead, are the guts of my work. If you want to see an encapsulation of my style, this would be it.

Here's the beginning. Images I loved from the Weddings of 2006. Check back in a week or so and I'll add to this as I have time, one wedding at a time.

Enjoy!

Great Falls Wedding

I've been working on the album for Lea and Brett and it's now complete. I promised it a few days ago and I got a bit behind, but this one is sumptuous! I hope it is worth the wait.

Friday, while I was working away in front of the monitor, I was thinking back over the last 6 years of weddings and taking note that regardless of the budget of a wedding, what makes for remarkable images are the people! Weddings are all about life, and when you have loving, supporting families and a couple that are truly in love, you've got the makings for a magical day. It's an occasion that is ripe with possibilities for moving and beautiful imagery. Folks try to perfect every single detail for a wedding day, and this is very important, but what makes it really incredible is the dynamic of our humanity and our relationships. And I've said it before but it bears repeating.

"I've been witness to hundreds of beautiful weddings and I can tell you that it is a magical time. Do everything you can to make the details that are most important to you, perfect, and then take a step back. Leave room for 'beauty... as it occurs naturally. "

Lea and Brett's wedding is the proof in the pudding. See for yourself.

Happy days! Larry
