September Springhill Wedding

On September 16th, the little community of Springhill was a glow with the wedding celebration of Winston and Chris. Folks packed the Springhill Community Church while preparations for an evening to remember were being made at the Springhill Pavilion.

When I arrived, the owner of the Church met me by the stone gate, threatening to get his hair all over my black slacks. But I was able to pass with a few strokes of his fine coat and a smile.

Grand Finale

Well, I'm thinking this is the last 2006 summer wedding for me and it was amazing. Leah and Brett came to me about 2 years ago and were planning a 2005 wedding. Plans got delayed and put on hold. Then last fall they called again and set the date for September 23rd in Great Falls, Montana.

Well, they waited for the right day! The weather was perfect along side the Missouri river on the greens of the Meadow Lark Country Club. Then off to Saint Ann's Cathedral for the ceremony. It was a remarkable day! You've got to see the sky after the wedding. I'll include one below.

Leah, Brett and families, thank you for your gracious hospitality. It was memorable wedding day.

I can't wait to build this album. Check back next week for a real treat.

Rainbow Ranch in Big Sky

Another splendid Rainbow Ranch wedding!!!

Meredith and Chadley traveled to Big Sky from their homes in North Carolina to be married at the Rainbow Ranch, right along side the Gallatin River. A small group of family and friends joined them to enjoy a superb wedding day under our wonderful Big Sky. The families invited us to stay for dinner and it was a very moving family affair. Meredith and Chadley, I wanted to say a special thanks for your kind "Southern" hospitality. You made Lauren and I feel right at home... and here is the results of our work.

Springhill in September

Cool weather has come to Montana, at least for a while. So it was on Saturday September 16th. Winston and Chris "tied the knot". A cliche for sure, but this time it's use is a little more forgivable; Chris is an avid angler. The small Springhill Church was warm and cozy and we only ventured briefly onto the hillside of the Springhill pavilion for some energetic photos of the couple... keeping warm. Inside the historic pavilion, the fireplace and woodstoves were stoked and glowing while dancing, fine dining and joyous celebration consumed the evening.

A wonderful wedding day to remember. Congratulations Winston and Chris!

Ah yes, Whitefish Montana.

In my opinion there is no better place on earth to get married than Whitefish Montana. Actually, it's probably my favorite place in the US, period! Paula and Steve are the last couple to be married in this wonderful little church. The doors are closing and it is being picked up and moved to a new location and renovated. Folks came from as far as Capetown South Africa and from all over the US for this beautiful occasion.

So, nothing would be more appropriate than a remarkable wedding Album for this historic event. Paula and Steve, thanks so much for including me in your day. It was an honor and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Cheers mate!

In a different vein!

Ok, here is a different type of post. I haven't had the time to finish a beautiful album for Meredith and Chadley yet, but I was working on the images today and I just had to share these photos that satify the photojournlist in me. Their wedding is going to make a splendid album and on top of that I found these moments that I absolutely love. Enjoy!
