Big Sky in September!

Well, it's been catch up time here in the studio.

Getting things done during these winter months that I haven't had time for. At this point, I'm ready for Spring in a big way, but it doesn't arrive this early here in Montana.

I pulled out one of my favorite weddings of September. Looking at the photos, I re-lived the day and I could feel the warm mountain breeze in Big Sky coming across the Gallatin River. Couldn't resist sharing it with you. The Rainbow Ranch is one of favorite places, for several reasons... weddings in the mountains and sand court volleyball. Yep! Just like on the beach, except about 7,000 feet higher. Patrick Hurd, the proprietor of this fine establishment engineered a tournament quality sand court, right by the river, trucking in sand from the east coast (all we have here is gravel!!!). Patrick is a die hard player with professional level skills, the likes of which I will never attain. But, he puts up with us and we have great fun here, just about every Sunday.

Oh yeah, the reason for the post! As I was saying, what a beautiful wedding. Here have a look. Here is the new Album Showcase I promised.

How cool is it to have your sister gift you with wedding photography for your big day. That's exactly what happened February 11th at the Chico Hot Springs Resort. Earlier in the year I was contacted by Kelly Roe, sister of the bride and she booked me for her sister's wedding as her wedding gift to the Bride and Groom. The day was crisp and clear with temperatures around freezing, but that didn't stop us from running around in the mountains around Chico and capture the beauty of Montana.

The ceremony was an intimate affair (total of 12) in the Wine Cellar of the Resort decorated with white roses and scads of votive candles. I've put together a collage of images for you to enjoy. Check out the Album Showcase of this warm and intimate winter wedding.

To Deanna and Jed, I loved your wedding so much, many thanks to you for being such a kick to work for and to Kelly for being such a wonderful Sister.
